Section 1: Tell Us about you:
Your first name, age, and general location: Phil - age 28 - Cincinnati, OH, USA.
Have you read the About Us section of the website? Yes!
Do you agree to comply with the rules of the guild? Yes!
What experience do you have in rpg/mmorpg?

Some of these overlap:

- FFXI - 6 years.
- CoH/CoV - 3 years.
- WoW - 3 years, starting two months before the Sunwell patch of TBC and ending (temporarily, as you can see) in March 2011, served as a raid officer in a guild in Wrath and GM of a 10s raiding guild during the first portion of Cataclysm.
- TOR - T-minus three months and counting. I'm co-GM of a growing Republic guild called No Sleep Till Kessel.
- Various MUSHes and MUDs - have served in administrative capabilities, but mostly nowadays I just kickback and roleplay here during free time.

How long have you been playing WoW and what interests you most about the game? 3 years, on and off - when I picked it back up a week or so ago it ended a hiatus that started in March. I'm primarily about the community, I like hanging out and talking to a decently close-knit group. Although I'm very partial to raiding - I don't think there's been a time in my WoW career when I wasn't at least in a raiding guild, and usually actively raiding - but I like doing things that challenge myself. I solo old raids, I level alts, I explore. Big achievement hunter, too.

Section 2: Your Main Character:
Main character name and link to your Warcraft Armory information: Vriska - http://goo.gl/yYdyJ (currently on Kael'thas, but will be transferring over if accepted)
Class: Death Knight
Professions: Blacksmithing/Jewelcrafting
Level*: 81
*AoA has a minimum level requirement of 80 for any main character. Helping individuals level and get initial gear is encouraged but not required in this guild.

Please list your current spec and explain why it is your preference: My current spec is a 3/31/3 Frost 2H spec, primarily for its ease of leveling - built-in movement speed increase, adaptability to switch between 2h weapons and dual-wielding, and general all-around ease-of-play. At endgame I can easily play any of the specs, though I strongly prefer Frost over Unholy, largely due to its significantly less boring (in my opinion) playstyle.

Are you willing to respec to certain trees (Healers and Tanks mainly) for the good of the guild progress for end game content? Yes.

Section 3: Your Alts**:
What alts do you regularly play (name/ class/ level)?

Again, all of these are on another server - and in this case, on another faction.

- Queklain, 84 warlock
- Anshul, 85 paladin
- Malacrass, 81 shaman

Please also provide an armory link to any level 70 alts:

- Queklain: http://goo.gl/YhwWX
- Anshul: http://goo.gl/r3eAy
- Malacrass: http://goo.gl/vWsNj

** AoA is an alt friendly guild that admits people, not just their cartoon counterparts.

Section 4: Raids and Upper Level Instances:
What experience do you have in endgame (please list both previous and current) content?

TBC: Raided Kara and ZA primarily, as we didn't have the people for 25s.
WotLK: Raided Naxx 10 and 25 to completion, Ulduar 10 and 25 to various levels of completion (I've killed Yogg, for instance, but never even seen Mimiron), only raided ToC when guildies wanted achievements after it was old content, raided ICC 11/12 normal mode in 10-man. Never did finish my Shadowmourne.
Cata: Raided on 10s for a short while before the entire guild collapsed for a bunch of different reasons; downed Magmaw and Omnotron only. No experience in Firelands, since I haven't been playing during its duration. Didn't down anything in BoT. Never even set foot in TotFW.

Minimum raiding stats for each class and spec have been established. Do you understand that you will have to meet these minimums prior to attending level 85 10 man raids? Yes.

Can you attend our scheduled Guild Events (Typically scheduled on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 4:30 pm Pacific Standard Time until 8 Pacific Standard Time)? That actually fits my schedule perfectly, which is a big part of the appeal for me. :)

The following add-ons are required for 10, please indicate that you are willing to download and use current versions of:

_x_Healbot/Grid & Clique/Vuhdo/Any healing addon (Classes capable of healing only) - I tend towards VuhDo on my paladin, the only class I heal on
_x_Deadly boss Mods
_x_Ventrillo (mic is not necessary but definitely appreciated) - and I do have a mic, but I don't talk much

Section 5: Additional Information:
How did you hear about us? Who referred you to this site? (include in this answer any AoA members that might know and recommend you) - I heard about the guild from Jedem! He sent me over here to fill out an app.

Please list all previous guilds you have have been in and your reason for leaving:

- Fatalis (Horde, Feathermoon), left due to lack of progression; at the time I was interested in progression raiding, and another guild that we were partnered with for 25s seemed more likely to progress, and invited me to their guild.
- The Aftermath (Horde, Feathermoon), went on permanent hiatus due to officer infighting. Essentially it was not a good environment to raid in, or even to be in.
- Sidhe Devils (Alliance, Kael'thas), left because the GM went pants-on-head insane and kicked everyone who expressed any interest in raiding, because HE had no interest in raiding.
- Caffeine (Alliance, Khaz Modan), stayed until the entire guild more-or-less collapsed due to absorbing a guild, then that guild split again and took 90% of our raiders. Left to form my own guild when the other officers went on a WoW hiatus.
- Builders League United (Horde, Cenarion Circle), left because the guild consisted almost entirely of the raid team, and the raid team couldn't raid anymore; this is actually why I stopped playing WoW for a while.

Maylay, Me-lee, or Meh-lay? Maylay. Certainly not anything that rhymes with "mealy."

If accepted do you promise to sweep the leg? I do not have a problem with that!

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop? Who licks a lollipop? It does take a solid 15 minutes of --you know what, I'm just gonna stop there.

Which Beatle would you say is your favorite? George Harrison.

Any other personal information you think might be helpful: No, but here's a joke to entertain you for reading this far--

So this guy walks into a bar at the top floor of a fancy high-rise, and orders a double shot of whiskey. Downs it, orders another. Downs it, orders another. This drunk then staggers over to two guys sitting at a table and slurs, "Hey, you guyssshhh, I'll bet you $5000 I can jump out that window and land on the shhtreet, shhafe and shound." *hic*

Now, these guys aren't really in any condition to watch a drunk guy kill himself, but five thousand dollars is five thousand dollars. So they agree to the bet, and walk over to the window. The drunk opens the window, shoots them a thumbs up, and hurls himself out of the window. They watch in amazement as the drunk guy lands on the street below, gets to his feet, dusts himself off, walks back in, and returns to the bar.

These two guys can't believe their eyes. "How'd you do it?!" they ask in unison, while sadly thinking about the money they just lost.

"Well, ya see, there's a ventilation shaft blowing up from underneath this window, and it slows your fall for most of the trip down so you can land safely on the street. It's a rush, you guys oughtta try it!" The two losers look at one another, and then one right after the other, they try it for themselves, jumping out the window.

SPLAT.
SPLAT.

The bartender shakes his head as the drunk returns to the bar, laughing, and says, "You know what, Superman? You're a real dick when you're drunk."
